The Newcastle Craft Mafia had a mention in the Newcastle Journal newspaper on Saturday. It was just a short mention but we all have to start somewhere.
Newcastle Craft Mafia Meeting
Our meeting today at the Tyneside Cinema went very well . Everyone really got into the needle felting mini workshop (even one of the staff in the cafe bar joined in ! ) It was a bizarre sight - a group of craft people furiously proding fibres into pieces of sponge .Great fun. Can't wait until the next meeting , who know what we will end up doing.
Needle Felting demonstration
I am demonstrating needle felting techniques to the Newcastle Craft Mafia family on Saturday lunch time. I'll need to make sure I have enough sponge - don't want pierced knees!

Witham Hall
What a busy but fun weekend last weekend was. I spent the time stewarding our selling exhibiton . There were a lot of interesting visitors to the gallery during the weekend . Some were visitors to the town , some were locals and others were fellow artists .Wherever they came from they were all great to chat to. I even managed to fit in a trip to Bowes Museum to look at the Toy Tales exhibition. Shame the textile gallery isn't opening until the Autumn. I will just have to fit in another trip!. I think I spent more than I made in the local shops buying scarves and yarns .
As the venue was so successful we have booked it for next year.
